What We Do
Supporting Emerging Adults: Meeting Needs, Building Wellness
Emerging adulthood—typically ages 18 to 29—is a unique and transformative life stage. It’s a time of exploration, increasing independence, and possibility, but it also comes with real challenges. Many young adults face instability in key areas such as housing, education, employment, finances, and relationships.
At NGEM, we believe that meeting the basic needs of emerging adults is essential to promoting lasting wellness, long-term stability, and personal growth. When young people have access to stable housing, financial support, and community connection, they’re better equipped to thrive—mentally, physically, and emotionally. NGEM is here to provide resources, practical solutions, guidance, and opportunities that empower emerging adults to navigate this critical life stage with confidence and care.
We envision a world where everyone's basic needs are met, empowering individuals to live enriched, balanced, and purposeful lives.

What is Wellness?
Wellness is not just about the absence of disease. It is about developing our whole self so that we can actualize our God-given potential. The eight dimensions of wellness include physical, social, emotional, financial, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and vocational. Wellness is associated with intentions, choices, resources, support, and actions leading toward an optimal state of well-being so that we can THRIVE.
In today’s chaotic world, with all its ups and downs, it is important that we are grounded in knowing that God says, “I have come that [you] might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). To live a fuller, satisfying, and abundant life, we must strive for wellness in every area of our lives. NGEM is committed to supporting individuals and communities in achieving wellness in each dimension.
